WATERVILLE - The Maine Department of Transportation is conducting paving work and making other repairs on part of Kennedy Memorial Drive in Waterville. The project area runs approximately 1.7 miles between West River Road (at Messalonskee Stream) and First Park. This project involves paving work, road construction, drainage improvements, and some sidewalk rehabilitation. Work began on June 28th and is expected to be finished by the end of November. Most major work will be done at night, between 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. This project will involve lane closures, but the contractor will maintain two-way traffic at all times. The contractor on this project is Pike Industries of Fairfield. The contract amount is $2,959,118.
