250 Main Hotel Ribbon Cutting

At the ribbon cutting and grand opening on Friday, June 3rd, 2016 were a lot of people from just stopping in to check things out, local Rockland Main Street Inc, City of Rockland, Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce leaders to those who helped to get this hotel built and open.
"Overlooking Rockland harbor, 250 Main is a new boutique hotel for the modern traveler. The building was originally conceived to be utilized as luxury living spaces, but when local demand dried up, it was rein-visioned as an intimate art hotel characterized by the unique idiosyncrasies of Rockland, the ship-building traditions of the region, and the culture and style of the owners. With 26 completely unique rooms designed with industrial decor and reclaimed materials, water views from nearly ever room, and highly experienced, knowledgeable staff, 250 Main is designed to spark curiosity and evoke excitement."                                                                  www.250mainhotel.com

Rockland, Maine - Truly this hotel lives up to it's vision of "Art Hotel"  Twenty six rooms and every hallway and public area is rich with artwork that almost rival the spectacular views from the luxuriously appointed rooms.

There may have been some controversy when the project was proposed, however, there can be no
doubt that the 250 Main Hotel is a great asset to the city of Rockland and the surrounding area.
