HS Softball: Oceanside Keeps Leavitt At Bay

Thomaston, Maine - The Oceanside High School Girl's Softball team kept visitors Leavitt at bay on Thursday, May 6th, 2016 in Thomaston, Maine.

Oceanside's Girl's Softball team was able to earn their sixth win of the season by a score of 7-3.

Oceanside moves to 6-0 on the year, this Leavitt team was a very good hitting team. I was very pleased to see us come back in the bottom of the 4th when we answered with three runs after Leavitt jumped out to a two run lead. This is the first time we have been behind all year and it was a great test for these young ladies. Kalyn Grover lead the charge with 2-Line shot triples over the left fields head knocking in two runs. Other repeat hitters for us tonight as well were huge Brianna Dugan and Abby Veilleux.

I was very pleased tonight with our teams performance, the weather was brutal and they over came it and pulled out the victory. We are a young team getting better everyday. I'm very proud of these young ladies, Coach said on Thursday's game.

Next game today at 4:00pm home vs Spruce Mountain.
