HS Baseball: Oceanside Sees Win Against Belfast

Belfast, Maine - The Oceanside High School Boys Varsity Baseball team recorded a win against host Belfast Area High School on Friday, May 27th, 2016 in Belfast, Maine.

Oceanside won the game by a score of 6-1.

Nick Mazurek fires a complete game 3 hitter, striking out 13 and drove in a pair of runs, including being hit by a pitch with bases loaded in the 8th to snap a 1-all tie.  Michael Norton, Jr had 2 hits, 2 steals and scores 2 runs for Oceanside.

Belfast Lefty Emery Dinsmore limited Oceanside to a run on 3 hits and struck out 11 over 7 innings.
Garrett Hamlin had 2 of Belfast’s 3 hits.

Oceanside 8th - Logan Sheridan doubles, Michael Norton Jr singles and then steals second, Hunter Davis walks, Dyer replaces Smith the mound, Nick Mazurek is hit by a pitch driving in Sheridan, Nate Hersom runs for Mazurek, Riley Sprague is hit by a pitch driving in Norton, Titus Kaewthong walks to drive in Davis, Connor Harvey is hit by a pitch to drive in Hersom, Grey Dinsmore replaces Dyer on the mound, Riley Sprague attempt to score on a suicide squeeze that failed, however the catcher dropped the ball on the tag attempt and Sprague was ruled safe.
