Newcastle, Thomaston, Maine - The Oceanside High School Varsity and JV teams saw victories against Lincoln Academy on Wednesday, May 18th, 2016 in Newcastle and Thomaston, Maine.
In Thomaston, Maine Oceanside JV team was able to win against Lincoln Academy by 16-15. This was a close game as Oceanside was trailing 3-11 in the fourth inning. They were able to come back to win the game.
Oceanside Varsity team was able to win their game in Newcastle by a score of 10-2 bringing their season to 11 wins and 0 zero losses.
According Varsity coach, We started out a little slow today but we were able to pick it up as the game
continued. Chloe pitched well today hitting her spots and mixing her pitches with a 10 K and only 1-Hit batter and 0-earned runs allowed. Ari Curtis carried us today at the plate with4 big hits.We put some hits together and took advantage of their mistakes. We made to many mistakes ourselves committing 5 errors on the game but we were able to get out of some jams and they didn't really hurt us. Lincoln Academy came ready to play they pitched well today and worked hard.
Next game is home vs Erskine a good solid ball club.
