Oceanside Softball were lead to victory Tuesday on the bats of Casey Pine, Brianna Dugan, Kalyn Grover, and Hannah Moholland. All repeat hitters for us today. Casey Pine hit a solo blast for a Homerun in with one out in the top of the 3rd inning. She really squared the barrel up on this Homerun it was 20 feet over the left field fence. Then in the top of the 5th inning with one on and two outs Brianna Dugan did something I haven't seen in all my years of playing and coaching. She hits a high towering fly ball that comes down right on top of the leftfield flag pole for a two run Homerun. Brianna also played a great first base digging throws out of the dirt and on one play did a complete split at first base on a throw. We left to many ladies ion base today, but on the flip side so did they. Gardiner left 13 runners on base and Oceanside left 9. Chloe Jones was able to make the big pitches to end the threats when needed.
Next game for Oceanside is scheduled for Thursday May 5 home vs Leavitt and Friday May 6 home vs Spruce Mountain.
