Simply Books! is the Camden library’s book group for adults. There’s no set reading list, we don’t all read the same book, and it’s very informal. We simply bring along whatever book we’re currently reading and share it with the group. 2:00 pm at the Camden Public Library, all are welcome.

Hypnotism demonstration, 2:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. Presented by Nat Lawson, a senior at Camden Hills Regional High School, who has been giving professional-quality presentations on “mentalism” for several years, and is expanding his expertise into hypnotism.

The Camden Energy and Sustainability Committee hosts a presentation on “Two Energy Options: Solar and Efficiency” at the Camden Public Library at 7:00 pm. The Committee has invited representatives from Sundog Solar, Evergreen Home Performance, and ReVision Energy to present on technical and economic factors involved in improving building efficiency and generating solar power.

Camden Library Coffeehouse features the annual “Songwriters’ Coffeehouse,” 7:00 pm, with the musicians of the Songwriters Sessions led by David Dodson with Rachel and John Nicholas. The group has been producing original work that spans styles from singer-songwriter, to blues, ballads, love songs, and more. $5 donation at the door.

Japan slide talk -- The eighth-grade students of the Camden Rockport Middle School engage in a cultural exchange program with a sister city in Japan each year. The students have returned and are inviting members of the community to a slide show about their Japan adventures, 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library.
