Portland, Maine - The Portland Public Library hosts a Poetry Slam presented by Port Veritas for National Poetry Month. This fun and exciting night will feature performance poets who have represented certified New England slam venues at Poetry Slam, Inc. national events across the country. Some of the best poets in the country will be competing with their best work, food and beverages will be offered, and the entire event is for your entertainment and enjoyment! Please join us for this very special evening in the Rines Auditorium at the Main Library on Thursday, April 30. Doors at 6:45, slam from 7:00 p.m till we're done!
About Port Veritas: Port Veritas is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Portland, Maine whose goal is to engage, enlighten, educate, and entertain through the arts of poetry and performance. We aim to provide innovative and exciting outlets for people of all ages to create and experience performance poetry of all kinds.
