Our Health Film Series Continues at Frontier Cinema
Call Me Crazy Screening and Discussion Set for October 7
Brunswick, ME – The Our Health Film & Discussion Series continues on October 7 with a focus on mental health in the community. Offered jointly by Mid Coast Hospital and Access Health, “Call Me Crazy: A Five Film” will screen at 7:00 p.m. at Frontier Café and Cinema, 14 Maine Street in Brunswick.
One in four Americans will face mental illness this year. Co-hosted by the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) Maine, this event coincides with Mental Illness Awareness Week (October 5-11), helping to raise awareness of this growing health concern.
Call Me Crazy is a compilation of five short films, each exploring impact as a loved one struggles with mental illness. The film focuses on “how everlasting bonds of love and family can overcome life's most challenging hurdles.” An expert panel including representatives from NAMI will lead a discussion about local efforts to raise awareness and reduce the stigma of mental illness.
The film series will continue throughout the year, featuring films that shine a spotlight on important health topics for the Midcoast region. For upcoming films and to reserve seats, visit: http://www.explorefrontier.com/schedule/film.
