Thomaston, Maine - The Oceanside lady mariners hosted their annual soccer kick-off tourney this past Saturday, August 30th, 2014. Teams that took part in this annual event were Oceanside, Lincoln, Searsport, Erskine (2 teams), Camden, Maranacook, Medomak, Messalonskee, Belfast, Winslow and MCI. It was a perfect day for the teams as it wasn't to hot, mostly sunny and enough breeze to keep them cool.
Each game played in this annual event were 25 minutes and between three fields. Noontime the teams took an hour long break for lunch, jugging, pair heading and shoot out This is a great preseason event to see what the soccer season will bring and be with others who play this sport. I think it is safe to say all the teams had fun.
