Windjammers Sail In To Camden For Annual Festival (58 Photo Gallery)

Camden, Maine - During the Labor Day weekend in Camden harbor was the annual Camden Windjammer Festival. This festival is centered around those windjammers that call this area home. Apart of this annual event the windjammers sail in to Camden harbor with Jim Sharp (Rockland Sail, Steam & Power Musuem) announcing when each windjammer sails in and it's history. This year's sail in was held on Friday August 28th, 2014 with 9 windjammers that go on week long adventures and around 4 day sailing windjammers.

This annual festival has pirates invasion, crate race, chowder challenge, talent show, fireworks and dog show
to name a few. You can find out more about this great annual festival by clicking here.

Final note, two of these beautiful vessels are 143 years old, Lewis R. French (Camden) and Stephan Taber (Rockland) and Victory Chimes, the only three master of her kind left. The Victory Chimes sails out of Rockland, Maine.
