Blue Hill, Maine - Colleen Teerling, an entomologist with the Maine Forest Service, and Tony Aman, a local arborist, will hold an emerald ash borer trap tree demonstration on Wednesday, April 30 at 3 pm at the Blue Hill Heritage Trust office on 258 Mountain Road, Blue Hill.
Landowners and other community members are invited to learn how to create a trap tree to detect the presence of the emerald ash borer (EAB). The EAB is a destructive, invasive tree insect that kills all species of ash trees.
