A Storm Too Soon: A True Story of Disaster, Survival and Incredible Rescue, Talk by Michael Tougias at Penobscot Marine Museum
June 20, 2013 – On Friday, June 28 at 7:00 pm bestselling author Michael Tougias will share his vivid account of the amazing rescue by four brave Coast Guardsmen of three men on a damaged life raft in seventy-foot seas and 100 mph winds. The Coast Guard battled hurricane-force winds in their Jayhawk helicopter 250 miles out to sea in a daring race to save them.
This maritime rescue is the subject of Michael Tougias’ exciting new book A Storm Too Soon: A True Story of Disaster, Survival and Incredible Rescue. The talk is illustrated and Michael will sign books after the talk.
