Bay Chamber Concerts presents “Young Stars of Maine” on June 30, 2013 at 4 pm at the Rockport Opera House
Concert to feature young prizewinning musicians!

Bay Chamber Concerts and Music School is pleased to present the 2013 Young Stars of Maine Prizewinners Concert on Sunday June 30, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at the Rockport Opera House. The concert will feature the winners in seven prize winning categories and is free and open to the public.
For more than 50 years Bay Chamber has awarded prizes to aspiring young Maine musicians. This year the following prizes of $1,000 each were awarded:
The A. H. Chatfield, Jr. Piano Prize: Grace Fan, piano; Falmouth
The Jean and Harvey Picker Senior Prize: Gianluca Pane, violin; Wilton
The Summer Music Cello Prize: Eleanora Willauer, cello; Hope
The Ezra Rachlin Prize for Excellence: Kelia Ingraham, piano; Kennebunk
The Eleanor Erdman and Diane Nixon Vocal Excellence Prize: Christopher Climo, voice; Portland
The Elsie Bixler Junior Prize: William Britton, oboe; Cape Elizabeth, Maine
The Nathan E. Corning Jazz Prize: Cole Barbour and Aaron Clarke, guitars; Rockland
Works by Bach, Beethoven, Barber and more will be featured on the program. Following the performance, concert-goers, friends and family are invited to a reception for the musicians.
