Video Special: The Landing Place Ribbon Cutting

Rockland, Maine- Thursday The Landing Place held their ribbon cutting at 61 Park Street to a large crowd of well wishers.

"The Landing Place is a comprehensive program for at-risk youth located at 61 Park Street, Rockland, Maine. The program will be a source of support and strength to young people who become homeless, or who are in need of shelter from at-risk environments in Knox County.  We will provide a consistent and comprehensive source of trusted support and collaborative coordination to the communities, providers and schools of Rockland and the towns that surround it.

We expect to care for young people when they’re at their most vulnerable, offering safe places, loving consistent relationships and steady guidance – empowering them to build resilience and discover the best version of themselves.

Providing a highly relational, low-barrier safe haven for underserved and marginalized youth from Knox County with the intent of creating access to emergency housing, healthy meals, supportive relationships targeted case management services and community connectivity.

Youth will have access to a teen center with drop-in hours, recreational activities, healthy meals, clothing, showers, crisis intervention services, strenght-based and restorative support and eventually, emergency shelter." [http://homehelphope.org]
