$1 Admission to 70th Maine Lobster Festival Tomorrow!

Rockland, Maine- The 70th Maine Lobster Festival opens tomorrow, Wednesday Aug. 2nd, and in celebration of the 70th year of the festival all adult admission will be just $1.00 all day!  This price also includes the evening and the Maine Sea Goddess Coronation at 8 PM.

The festival provides free shuttle services to and from the festival grounds from the following locations. A bus arrives at each location approximately every 30 minutes.

Oceanside High School (formerly Rockland District High School)
South Elementary School (formerly Rockland District Middle School)

Wednesday, Aug. 2: Bus starts at noon and ends at 10 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 3, and Friday, Aug. 4: Bus starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 11 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 5: Bus starts after parade (usually around noon) and ends at 11 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 6: Bus starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 6 p.m.

Official ribbon cutting ceremony at the Main Gate followed immediately by the arrival of King Neptune and his court, along with Adrianna Elaine Ames, the 2016 Maine Sea Goddess, arrive on the main dock from the briny deep to raise the flag and officially open the 2017 Maine Lobster Festival. Opening ceremonies will take place next to the flagpole by the Harbor Master’s building.

Come see the coronation of the 70th Maine Lobster Festival Sea Goddess! Festivities begin at 8 p.m. with music and the introduction of the Sea Princesses. The winner receives a cash prize and the title of The Maine Lobster Festival Sea Goddess with a lovely crown. She reigns at many events throughout the year, culminating with the start of the 2018 Lobster Festival. Also crowned is the Crown Princess and Miss Congeniality.
