BREAKING NEWS: Fire, EMS, Police Units On Scene Of Old Augusta Rd/Ridge Rd Warren Car VS Motorcycle

UPDATE 2:20pm: Just after 10:30 this morning, Deputies from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a two vehicle crash at the intersection Rt. 235 (Ridge Rd.) and  Old Augusta Rd. in Warren.    

The Deputies arrived and found that a 2005 BMW SUV, operated by David Kristiansen, 57, of Waldoboro was crossing Rt. 235 from Old Augusta Rd. travelling eastbound.  Witnesses stated he had stopped at the stop sign and proceeded across.  There is a crest of a hill at the intersection when travelling northbound as John Shane, 75, of Rockland was operating his 2008 BMW Motorcycle.  Shane was not able to stop or avoid the SUV and hit the passenger side doors.  Shane was thrown from his motorcycle and was transported to a mid-Maine hospital by life-flight.  He was conscious and alert, but with possible internal injuries and broken bones.  No injuries by occupants in the SUV.  Shane was wearing a helmet.

Warren Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.

UPDATE 11:02am: Per Knox County Dispatch, Life flight is en-route. Per Rescue have Life Flight meet them at the high school (Medomak Valley High School). 
BREAKING NEWS: Warren, Maine - Warren Fire, EMS and Knox County Sheriff's Office are on scene of a car vs motorcycle accident at the intersection of Old Augusta Rd and Ridge Rd on Sunday, August 27th, 2017 in Warren, Maine.

Life flight is requested.

Area shut down.
