“Tick Talk” 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. May is Lyme Disease Awareness month, and the Library will again host Lyme disease specialist Dr. Bea Szantyr with a very informative look at ticks, the bacteria Borrelia burgdorferi, the incidence of Lyme disease in Maine, the difficulties of medical diagnosis, and steps you can take to protect yourself and your family.

Leer y charlar is “Read and chat,” entirely in Spanish! All who are proficient in Spanish are welcome to join the discussion, 2:00 pm at the Camden Public Library.
The Quasimodal Chorus and the January Men And Then Some perform a spring concert in the Reading Room at the Camden PUblic Library, 7:00 pm. Free; donations accepted. The groups will perform songs honoring some of their favorite musicians such as Jan Harmon, John Renbourne, and others.
Thursday, May 26
Free film screening, “The Simulation Hypothesis,” by Kent Forbes, hosted by the Camden Philosophical Society, 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. Are we living in a virtual reality? And, if so, could we ever tell? Is it possible to “hack” the system and change reality? Forbes will introduce his film and join us for what promises to be a lively discussion.
