HS Girls Basketball: Oceanside JV, Varsity Sees Victory Against MCI

Rockland, Maine - The Oceanside girls basketball teams in need of wins saw victory against MCI on Tuesday, January 5th, 2016 in Rockland, Maine. Junior varsity won by a score of 39-18, varsity, 46-38.

Scorers for the Oceanside junior varsity team were Abby V. 9pts, one three pointer, Hope Butler 5pts, 1pt from a foul shot, Amelia Campbell 10pts, 2pts from foul shots, Sara Dorr 2pts, Kassidy Robinson 5pts, 1pt from a foul shot and Elise Laslavic 8pts.

MCI junior varsity scorers were Madison B. 5pts, 3pts from a three pointer, Sage Cassidy 2pts, Daniele McAlpine 2pts, Dee U. 9pts with 2pts from foul shots.

In the varsity Oceanside and MCI were going back and forth until Oceanside pulled away in the
second half for the win. Scorers for Oceanside were Ari Curtis 3pts from a three pointer, Kayln Grover 4pts, Jillian Brooks 7pts, 3pts from a three pointer and 2 foul shots points, Makenna Brooks 17pts 3pts from a three pointer and 4 foul shots points, Alexis Mazurek 10pts, 2pts from foul shots, Brianna Dugan 2pts and Gabby Simmons with 3pts from a three pointer. Oceanside had a great night.

Scorers for MCI were Madison Fitts, Taylor Hall and Eva Bickford with 2pts each, Allison Hughes 3pts, 1pt from a foul shot, Crista Carr 5pts, 1pt from a foul shot, Sydney Morton 11pts, 2pts from foul shots, April McAlpine 13pts with 3pts coming from foul shots. MCI worked hard in this game, wasn't able to overcome the Oceanside team.
