HS Girls Basketball: Oceanside Three Game Sweep Against Morse

Rockland, Maine - The Oceanside High School girls freshman, junior varsity and varsity basketball teams had a great night as they swept Morse High School on Tuesday, January 19th, 2016 in Rockland, Maine.

Oceanside freshman won their game by a score of 70-11. Scorers were Abby Veilleux 2pts, Hope Butler 8pts, Rachel Joyce 10pts, Anna Poisson 12pts, Sara Dorr 16pts, Kassidy Robinson 8pts, Chloe Jones 6pts, Alexis Rytky 4pts and Hannah Moholland 4pts.

Freshman scorers for Morse were Lauren B. 2pts, Hannah C. 2pts and Abbie B. 5pts.

In the junior varsity game Oceanside was able to hold off Morse for the 40-37 win. Scorers for
Oceanside were Abby Veilleux 5pts, 1pt from a single foul shot, Hope Butler 9pts, 5pts from foul shots, Rachel Joyce 3pts, 1pt from foul shot, Amelia Campbell 4pts, Sara Dorr 2pts, Kassidy Robinson 4pts and Elise Laslavic 13pts with 1pt coming from a foul shot.

Morse scorers were Maddy M. 4pts, 3pts from a three pointer and 1 foul shot, Isabella M. 6pts, Marjia M. 6pts, 2pts from foul shots, Hannah C. 2pts, Marissa P. 7pts, 1pt from a foul shot, Katie M. 9pts, 6pts from two three pointers and 1 foul shot and Samantha B. 3pts with 1pt coming from a foul shot.

It was a close varsity game that ended with Oceanside able to capture the win against Morse by a score of 39-28. Oceanside varsity scorers were Kayln Grover 6pts, 2pts from foul shots, Haley Montgomery 6pts, 4pts from foul shots, Jillian Brooks with one foul shot point, Makenna Brooks 10pts, 2pts from foul shots, Alexis Mazurek 2pts, Brianna Dugan 3pts, 1pt from a foul shot and Gabriela Simmons 11pts with 7pts from foul shots. Oceanside had great team throughout the game.

Scorers for Morse varsity players were Sierra Wallace 2pts, Emma Harrington 5pts, 1pt from a single foul shot, Signe Ostergaard 5pts, 3pts coming from foul shots, Isabelle Paulus 5pts, 1pt from a single foul shot, Katie Moore 4pts and Noa Sreden 7pts with 3pts coming from a single three pointer. Morse played a great game against a team that was on point.
