HS Girls Basketball: Messalonskee JV Sees First Win In New Year Against Oceanside (Photos, Results)

Rockland, Maine - The Messalonskee High School girls jv basketball team saw their first win of the new year as they traveled to Oceanside High School on Saturday, January 2nd, 2016 in Rockland, Maine. Messalonskee won the game by a score of 47-40, a close game.

Messalonskee scorers were Emily Parent 9pts, 1pt from foul shot, Amy LaVerdiere 4pts, 2pts from
foul shots, Megan Quirion 2pts, Taylor Baker 4, 3 of those points comes from her sinking a three pointer, Makayla also had 4pts, 3pts from a three pointer, Allyssa Genness 7pts, 3pts coming from a three pointer, Sarah Ventimiglia 10pts and Katie Seekins 5pts with 1pt coming from a foul shot. This jv team is coached by Pam M.

Look at those who were able to score for Oceanside, Abby V. 2pts, Hope Butler 12pts, she had 6pts from two three pointers, one to watch, Rachel Joyce 5pts, 3pts of those points from a three pointer, Amelia Campbell 6pts, 2pts coming foul shots, Sara Dorr 2pts, Kassidy Robinson 2pts, Hannah M. 2pts, Elise Laslavic 9pts, 1pt from a foul shot.

Oceanside should be proud despite not winning as they kept the game pretty close. Messalonskee just edged them out by 7pts. Great game both teams.
