Everyman Rep $1,000 grant from Margaret E. Burnham Charitable Trust

Rockport, Maine - The Everyman Repertory Theatre in Rockport, Maine was awarded a $1,000 grant from the Margaret E. Burnham Charitable Trust to help finance their 2013 season. The trust was established to help support non-profit organizations that are in Maine and serve Maine communities. Twenty percent of their annual distribution goes to the arts. Trustees gather to review the applications in December and award the grants shortly thereafter. On occasion, they will award grants to outstanding organizations that have not applied, based on their exemplary service.

The Everyman Repertory Theatre is a registered 501(c)(3) not for profit professional theatre company. The company was founded by actors, writers, directors, producers and professional administrators who continue to provide their expertise and guidance.  Everyman Rep’s 2013 season opened with their production of The Eight: Reindeer Monologues in January and will forge ahead with two other main stage productions dealing with the theme of domestic conflict (and its resolution) as well as a series of smaller, collaborative productions.

The company will be holding auditions for their next show, The Trip to Bountiful by Horton Foote, as well as meeting potential actors, stage managers and producers for the rest of the season, on February 7th at 5:30 pm at the Rockport Opera House.

For more information, contact Abby Norman, Communications Manager, anorman@everymanrep.org or Paul Hodgson, Artistic Director, phodgson@everymanrep.org.
