Wiscasset High School Drama Preview their One Act piece

Wiscasset, Maine - Come out and support Wiscasset High School Drama by joining in on a public preview of their One Act competition piece of an abridged version of J.B. by Archibald MacLeish.  The play is a modernization of the book of Job from the Bible.  MacLeish wrote the play after he wondered how mankind could remain hopeful with all the suffering in the world.

         Playing the title role is senior Cameron Mugnai with senior Alyssa Urquhart as his wife, Sarah.  The roles of Zuss/Godmask and Nickles/Satanmask are played by seniors Kyle Shute and Cormac Walsh respectively.  The two messengers who deliver bad news to J.B. are played by seniors Joe Chapman and Annalisa Haase.  Filling in the rest of the cast are seniors Logan Conley (Mrs. Adams), Emilee Delano (Ruth),Becca Erskine (Mrs. Lesure), Marie Searles (Mary); juniors Alexa Burns(Zophar), Kristen Cavanaugh (Bildad), Abby Dunn (Eliphaz), Ally Lambert (Girl),Michaela Trudeau (Mrs. Murphy); sophomores Katie-Lyn Mills (Jolly Adams), Charlene Reed (Mrs. Botticelli), Jasmine Smith (Rebecca); and freshmen Shelby Abbott(David), Amanda Marcus (Jonathan). Nate Austin will lead the technical aspects of the show and English/Drama teacher Jean Phillips will direct.  The pre-show review will be on February 28th at 7:00 PM in the WHS gym.  Admission is by donation and a question and answer period in which audience members may give constructive feedback will follow.

Snow date for play is Friday, March 1, at 7:00 p.m.
