Rockland, Maine - Join librarians Jessie Blanchard & Patty King in Rockland Public Library's Reading Room on Thursday, October 17 at 6:30 PM for an evening of spooky and strange stories. Teenagers and adults are invited to come and share a (mostly) unscripted 5-minute story about a spooky, supernatural or otherworldly experience, either lived or imagined. Participants are welcome to use notes, if needed. And of course, just coming to listen is welcome. Blanchard and King will do readings from classic tales of horror. There will be atmospheric music accompaniment throughout the evening. Costumes welcome, if you’re so inclined!
To sign up to share a story, contact King at pking@rocklandmaine.gov or 594-0310. Impromptu story sharing on the night of the event is also welcomed and encouraged. This event is intended for adults and teens as content may not be child-friendly.
The Rockland Public Library is located at 80 Union. St. This event is free and open to the public.
