Resilience Film and Discussion

BRUNSWICK, ME — Mid Coast Hospital’s Our Health: Film and Discussion Series continues on May 9 at Frontier Cinema and CafĂ© in Brunswick. The next film, “Resilience” will screen at 7:00 p.m., followed by a discussion about childhood development in our community. The event is free and open to the public.

Resilience reveals how toxic stress can trigger hormones that wreak havoc on the brains and bodies of children, putting them at great risk. It also chronicles the dawn of a movement in pediatrics, education, and social welfare determined to fight back.

Tom Kivler, LCPC, CCS, Mid Coast Hospital’s Senior Director of Outpatient Behavioral Health, will be joined by Lori Watson, MS Ed, BCBA, Behavior Interventionist at Coffin Elementary School in Brunswick, as well as Sue Mackey Andrews, BS, Co-Facilitator, Maine Resilience Building Network, will lead the audience in discussion directly following the film.

The film series continues throughout the year, featuring films that shine a spotlight on important health topics for the Midcoast region. For upcoming films and to reserve seats, visit: www.explorefrontier.com/schedule/film<http://www.explorefrontier.com/schedule/film>.
