Argy Nestor and Lindsay Pinchbeck will share stories and images of a 13-day summer teacher workshop in Malawi which had to integrate the arts at the heart of the learning experience. They will be at the Camden Public Library on Thursday, May 18 at 7:00 pm to tell their story and share their artwork. The art will be on display for the month of May.
They traveled with the Go!Malawi, program, a non-profit organization based in Hebron Maine, collaborating with Malawian rural communities to develop sustainable programs in education, commerce, and conservation. Our story is based on the power of the arts to bring people together, elevate learning and deepen connections.
Lindsay’s photographs share in vivid color experiences and chance encounters while working with teachers at the Mpamila primary school in Malawi.
Argy’s mosaics were in response to her travels and experience in Malawi. She learned from each of the teachers and was inspired by cultural aspects.
