Tim Pierce, master chef of the Samoset Resort is also a champion ice carver! He will be leading new carvers in a demonstration of his skills to warm them up for the big Community Ice Carving event on February 4. Spectators welcome at the Camden Public Library Amphitheatre at 1:00 pm on Sunday, January 29.
This event will be a prelude to the Camden’s Winterfest 2017, which kicks off on the following weekend on Saturday, February 4th. Camden's Winterfest gives you every reason to pack your bags early and make your trip to the US National Toboggan Championships into a Midcoast Maine vacation. Camden Winterfest 2017 is Maine’s Mardi Gras. This is a week-long celebration of winter with outdoor and indoor activities, beginning with ice carving and snow sculpting and culminating with the Toboggan Nationals and a celebratory dance, all with a Maine Mardi Gras festive theme.
