Valentine Bake Sale Benefits Local Students

BRUNSWICK, ME – The Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary will be hosting its annual “Sweets for the Sweet” Valentine bake sale on Tuesday, February 14, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Mid Coast Hospital CafĂ©, 123 Medical Center Drive in Brunswick. New this year, a second sale location will be added from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Parkview Medical Center campus, 329 Maine Street in Brunswick. All sale proceeds benefit hospital projects and Healthcare Career Scholarships, a program to support the future growth of a high-quality medical workforce.

The sale features homemade fudge and candies, as well as a variety of baked items including breads, scones, cakes, pies, tarts, and cookies. Assorted plates are available, as well as treats packaged in small amounts, ready for gift giving.

Each year, the Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary awards approximately $40,000 in healthcare scholarships to local high school and college students, or to hospital employees furthering their education at four year colleges, technical schools, or specialized training centers. Applications for scholarships are due April 15, and may be found on the Mid Coast Hospital website at www.midcoasthealth.com/volunteer.

Those interested in donating homemade goods for the event may drop items off at the Mid Coast Hospital Volunteer Office, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., on Monday, February 13. More information is available by calling 373-6015, or emailing scoray@midcoasthealth.com<mailto:scoray@midcoasthealth.com>
