Husson Men's Soccer Volunteers Their Time With Local Community

BANGOR, Maine — The Husson University men's soccer program took time out of their busy preseason schedule to volunteer for the local community this past week. All coaches and players were in attendance helping move items for a local yard sale.

The Yard Sale will be held this weekend August 26th and 27th from 8am to 5pm. It will be located at the Old Town Christian Fellowship (Old VFW Building) located at 64 South Water Street in Old Town, Maine. All proceeds made this weekend will benefit the Safe Families for Children at Redeeming Refuge.

Head Coach Gavin Penny gave us his thoughts on the team and volunteering, "I can't thank the guys enough to give up their time during such a busy period. Again, its the emphasis on the people it benefits and nothing to do with our program. We're just looking for opportunities to put others before ourself."

The Eagles will start their 2016 season with an away contest at Gordon on Friday September 2nd at 7:00 p.m. They will then host the 5th Annual Adidas Challenge Cup on Friday September 9th at 7:30 p.m. at Boucher Field.
