Indoor Book Sale August 27 & 28


The Camden Public Library’s August Book Sale will be held in the Picker Room on Saturday, August 27, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and on Sunday, August 28, 1:00 to 4:00 pm. This is the time to stock up for fall and winter reading! Choose from a wide variety of hardcover and softcover trade paperbacks, priced at $2 each, in such categories as art, biography, cooking, fiction, foreign language, gardening, government/current affairs, health/well-being, history, how-to, Maine, marine, nature, the performing arts, pets, quilting, religion, science, sports, and travel.

There will also be a large selection of children’s books priced at 50 cents each for softcover books and $1 for hardcover books. Young adult books will be $2 each. Hundreds of paperbacks covering a variety of topics, as well as fiction by leading novelists, will also be sold at 50 cents each. Also on sale will be DVDs and CDs at $2 each and VHS tapes at 50 cent each. Movies, cartoons for children, films on topics for all ages, and a wide variety of musical CDs and books on tapes will be available.

For information about volunteering for any phase of the book sale or for information on donating books for the sale, please call Jean White at 236-4885. All of the funds raised at the book sale will be used to purchase new books and for children and adult programs at the Camden Public Library.
