WHITINGHAM, Vt. - Husson junior keeper Anne Marie Provencal has been named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
Provencal was a force between the pipes for the Husson defense in the NAC Championship Game. The junior stopped all seven shots she faced from UMF, a very strong offensive team that averaged 3.2 goals per game this season. Husson claimed a 2-0 victory over the Beavers to earn the team's second-consecutive NAC Championship. The keeper was named to the NAC All-Tournament team for her efforts
