Wiscasset High School Play 'Ashland Falls' Begins November 14th

Wiscasset, Maine - Students (and teachers) busy rehearsing for the fall play: Ashland Falls! Twelve students and two teachers are in the midst of rehearsing for the fall play called Ashland Falls. The play centers around a group of high school students who are in the last days of rehearsing for the play. Their previous director has mysteriously disappeared and has been replaced by a new director with curious ties to the actual story on which the play is based. Meanwhile, the characters are fighting amongst themselves, struggling to master a British accent, and bringing to life the average high school rehearsal. Each student will play two very different roles: their modern character and one from the play that’s being rehearsed. ! !! Fulfilling the parts are Seniors Rachael Berry (Alyssa/LIza), Ridge Barnes (Gavin/Wynter), Charlene Reed (Heather/Leah), Jasmine Smith (Carrie/Ashley), and Robert Washburn (Aidan/ Dalton); Junior Gabby Chapman (Ava/Eleanor); Sophomore Elicia Creamer (Ashley’s Ghost); and Freshmen Kobe Carrier (Tony/Garrick), Sarah Foley (Lydia/Vala), Ayanna Main (Emily/ Elizabeth), and Leah Potter (Morgan/Nara). This year, two of the character roles will be performed by teachers. Director Jean Phillips (Laura) has always wanted to include teachers as actors in productions, and this is the first opportunity to do so. French teacher Eva Castor (Payton/Tawnie) also joins this cast of very talented actors.!

Performances are scheduled for Friday November 14 (7:00 PM), Saturday November 15 (7:00 PM), and Sunday November 16 (2:00 PM). Admission will be $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students. Come out an support Wiscasset High School drama students (and teachers)!!
