Job Fair in Lewiston on December 1 at the CareerCenter

*More than 15 employers are currently listed as exhibitors for a variety of positions.*
Lewiston, Maine - The Lewiston CareerCenter is hosting a Job Fair on Monday, December 1 from 9 to 11 a.m. at its building on 5 Mollison Way, Lewiston. All employers will be hiring: over 200 jobs will be available.

"I encourage those considering a New Year's resolution to find a new job or change careers to start now and get a leg up on the competition" said Governor Paul R. LePage. "CareerCenter job fairs provide an opportunity to meet face-to-face with employers and learn about their openings."

Positions will be available for Customer Service, Personal Support Specialists (PSS), Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician (MHRT-1), Behavioral Health Professionals, Warehouse, Machine Operators, Medical Billers and Coders, Administrators, Human Resources, Respite Providers, Production, Forklift, Cleaners, Brokerage Coordinator, Customer Care Assistants, Cashiers, Overnight Stock, Grocery, and more.

Attendees should bring a resume and be prepared to have an "interview-like" conversation with employers to discuss skills, knowledge areas and abilities. Job seekers should also be dressed for an interview.

French and Spanish interpreters will be available; requests for other languages should be made in advance to the CareerCenter.

CareerCenters, part of the Maine Department of Labor, offer a variety of workshops and services to help people find employment or upgrade skills. Each center provides several public-access computer workstations with Microsoft Office software, resume writing and cover letter software, Internet access and O'Net software for skills assessment. All CareerCenter services are free of charge.
