Oceanside Varsity Baseball Defeats Gardiner 15-5

THOMASTON, Maine - The Oceanside boys varsity baseball team played host to Gardiner in what would be another win making it their 11th on the season. Oceanside won the match by a score of 15-5. It appears the guys from the Oceanside varsity team are having a great season.

Nick Mazurek fired 4 innings of shutout baseball for his 5th win of the season and had 3 hits, including a 2 run Homer, his 4th of the season, in the Oceanside home win.  Ryan Allender ripped a 3 run Homer while Nick Judge and Zac Roman each had 2 hits.  Roman scored 4 runs for the Mariners, while J.T. Tobin and Scott Strong each drove in a pair of runs. Josh Mushke had 2 hits and Logan Peacock added 2 RBIs for Gardiner.

Nick Judge walks, Zac Roman singles, Nick Mazurek singles, J.T Tobin reaches on an error scoring Judge and Roman, Thomas Curtis grounds out driving in Mazurek, Tobin scores on a wild pitch, Ryan Allender reaches on an error and steals second, Travis Frye singles driving in Allender.

Oceanside 2nd
Roman singles, Mazurek singles with Roman advancing to third, Roman scores on Tobin’s sacrifice fly.

Oceanside 4th
Judge singles, Roman reaches on a fielder choice that retires Judge, Mazurek belts a 2-run Homer, Tobin walks, pinch runner Riley Sprague steals second, Zach Peaco is hit by a pitch, Allender belts a 3-run homer.

Gardiner 5th
Brady Smith singles, Eli Fish reaches on an error, Ryan Kelly walks to load the bases, Logan Peacock singles to drive in Smith and Fish, Nic Berube reaches on an error to score Kelly and Peacock, Josh Mushke singles, Mushke is throw out driving to steal second, with Berube scoring on a back end of the double steal.

Oceanside 5th
Judge singles,  Roman reaches on a fielder choice that retires Judge, Roman steal second, Jacob Bartlett singles driving in Roman, Tobin walks, Bartlett and Tobin move up a base on a wild pitch, Scott Strong doubles driving in Bartlett and Tobin, Walker Ranney singles to drive in Strong.

Ryan Allender's Home Run was his first.  Oceanside has belted 10 Home Runs on the season
