Ladies
Gracie Gold won her first U.S. title in January at the 2014 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships. Gold most recently finished fourth in the ladies event and won the team event bronze medal at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, last month. This will be Gold's second trip to Worlds. Polina Edmunds, the 2014 U.S. silver medalist, finished ninth at the Olympic Games. The World Championships will mark only her second senior international event. Ashley Wagner, a two-time U.S. champion, finished seventh at the Olympic Games after winning bronze in the team event. She has been a top five Worlds finisher each of the last two years.

Men
Jeremy Abbott won his fourth U.S. title in January before finishing 12th in Sochi. Abbott, competing at his fifth Worlds, also won an Olympic bronze medal as part of the team event. Max Aaron, the 2014 U.S. bronze medalist, finished seventh at the 2013 World Championships.

Pairs
Marissa Castelli and Simon Shnapir won their second straight U.S. title in January and also took home team bronze from the Olympics before finishing ninth in the pairs event. They will compete at their second World Championships. Felicia Zhang and Nathan Bartholomay most recently placed 12th at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games after winning the U.S. silver medal in January. Zhang and Bartholomay were added to the Worlds roster after 2014 U.S. bronze medalists Caydee Denney and John Coughlin withdrew due to an injury to Denney's right ankle.

Ice dance
Madison Chock and Evan Bates won their second U.S. silver medal in January and then were eighth in Sochi. They will compete in their second World Championships together. Maia Shibutani and Alex Shibutani, the 2014 U.S. bronze medalists, will compete in their fourth straight World Championships. They finished ninth at the Olympic Games last month. Alexandra Aldridge and Daniel Eaton finished fifth at the U.S. Championships. They won bronze at 2014 Four Continents Championships in late January and were added to the Worlds roster after Olympic champions Meryl Davis and Charlie White decided they would not compete in Saitama and first alternates Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue withdrew due to an injury to Hubbell.
