RollEase Inc. Headed to Brunswick

Brunswick, Maine - RollEase, Inc., a leader in the design, development and manufacturing of custom window treatments is planning to open a new product innovation center at Brunswick Landing. The move is expected to lead to the creation of up to 12 new jobs in the very near future. "Attracting new investment to Maine is critical to improving our economy," said Governor Paul R. LePage. "The arrival of RollEase is yet another example that our business-friendly approach is delivering real results. Our efforts have led to 13,000 new private-sector jobs, and that number continues to grow."

RollEase was founded in 1980 in Stamford, Conn. Senior Vice President Greg Farr described the Brunswick facility's potential as "an exciting opportunity to expand our design and development of new products and to be around like-minded businesses at Brunswick Landing, as well as partner with other Maine businesses and the University of Maine." "RollEase is certainly on the move," said Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) Commissioner George Gervais. "It's encouraging to see new companies continually benefit from our competitive economic structure. And, as they demonstrate tangible progress, the greater success is illustrated throughout the community. We always try to aid that progression, and I wish RollEase the best of luck as they generate quality employment for Maine people."

Expanding to a new facility was a process that was helped made possible, as Farr related, by the work of Governor LePage Account Executive Kristine Schuman. As liaisons to start-up, relocating and existing businesses in Maine, the Account Executive Team acts as a dedicated resource to the employers within their regional territories.
