“Digital Library 101” at the Blue Hill Public Library

Blue Hill, Maine - Do you know how to check out a digital book at the Blue Hill Public Library?  Have you downloaded an audio book or free music from the Library’s download services?  Did you know that you can register to get email reminders about due dates?

If you’d like to learn about these digital library services, don’t miss “Digital Library 101,” on Saturday, March 29, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM in the Library’s Howard Room. Presented by Lisa Arhontes-Marshall and library staff, this workshop is designed to show participants the many digital tools available to BHPL patrons.

Also on hand will be the Maine State Library’s “Digital Petting Zoo,” a traveling menagerie of mobile devices such as Kindle Readers, IPads, and Nook Tablets available for exploration.

Lisa Arhontes-Marshall is Queen Bee at Beehive Development in Blue Hill, which provides email marketing, social media consulting, and other services to start-ups and small businesses looking for personalized attention.  Lisa lives in Blue Hill with her husband and their 5 year-old daughter.

Anyone who plans to participate in this workshop should make sure to get their new Library card before the workshop as some resources are only available using the new patron numbers. This event is free and open to the public.  For more information contact the Library at 374-5515.
