MORE DETAILS: Serious 2 Car Head On Crash Route 1 By Ande's Variety Kills 1

More Details: At approximately 0730 hrs this date, a head-on motor vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Western rd and RT.1 Warren.  A Silver 1997 GMC Sierra driven by Samuel Simmons 18yoa of Spruce Head was traveling North while a Gold 2003 Subaru Forester driven by Alison Low 38yoa of Warren was traveling South on RT.1  The vehicles collided head-on on RT.1 at the intersection of Western road.  Also in the Gold Subaru were two passengers Dustin Kimball 18yoa of Warren and Olivia Blachet 18yoa of Waldoboro.  Both are in critical condition at Maine Medical Center.  Alison Low died at the scene.   There were no other occupants of the Simmons vehicle.  Simmons was taken to Pen Bay Medical Center with minor injuries.
  
Deputy Paul Pinkham of The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is investigating while Sgt Ken Smith of the Rockland Police and Lt. Mike Murphy of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office are assisting in the investigation.  This investigation is ongoing.  Waldoboro EMS, Warren EMS and Thomaston EMS responded to the scene along with the Warren Fire Department. 

UPDATED...Route One is now back open after being closed since around 8am due to a fatal crash by Ande's Variety.
BREAKING NEWS: Warren, Maine - According to the Rockland Police Department, A serious motor vehicle crash has closed Route 1 in nearby Warren, near Ande's Variety. Please seek an alternate route while the crash is investigated.

The crash involved two cars head on.

This crash involving a pickup and car head on has killed one with three others injured.
