Union, Maine - On Thursday, February 28th, the Union Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its Annual Winter Technology Conference at the Union Masonic Hall at 149 Sennebec Road, Union. A social with light refreshments will begin at 5:30 pm and the speakers’ program will start promptly at 6 PM.The evening’s guest speakers will include Marita Fairfield, Program Director of the Maine Women’s Business Center at Coastal Enterprises who will talk about the types of cloud computing and the pros and cons of using cloud computing for your business. Special Agent Matt Fasulo of the U.S. Secret Service, a specialist in computer crimes, will be discussing cyber security issues affecting businesses. John Fromer, of Appleton Ridge Technology Services will be speaking about and demonstrating Microsoft’s newest product,
Windows 8. He will also give a brief overview of the Chamber’s new sound speaker system.
This program is certain to be a dynamic and informative evening that you won’t want to miss. There will be a question and answer session after each speaker.
