Los Angeles, CA - Our new MEET INSIDER is on the beautiful and talented Sasha Pieterse, who has a recurring role on ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars. In this MEET INSIDER you will hopefully learn more about Sasha and photographs from her past appearances in 2011. Sasha was chosen as it she will have a bright future with ample opportunities in the years to come.
Sasha Embeth Pieterse, 15, was born in Johannesburg, South Africa on February 17th, 1996. Miss Pieterse started her career at the young age of 6 years old in WBs 2002 Family Affair as Buffy, opposite Gary Cole. This is when Sasha started her career in television. She appeared in the 2005 series Wanted as Cole's daughter. We will highlight more of her television career and film later on in our MEET INSIDER. Being born in Johannesburg, South Africa, this 15 year old traveled the world with her parents, who were professional dance partners. Pieterse loved being on stage with her parent, which soon led Sasha being signed quicky by an agent. Since than she's been busy acting and modeling.
Besides acting, Sasha Pieterse loves to sing. When Pieterse is not acting or singing, you can find her horseback riding, dancing, playing the piano, and golfing with her dad. Sasha lives in Los Angeles with her parents, her Pekinese dog named Precious, Persian cat named Pasha and a fish named Crystal.
Miss Pieterse has been in several television commercials for such companies like Nesquick and Firestone. She was also featured in the billboard for Supercuts, sang and modeled in the Macy's Passport Fashion Show, performing throughout California. In television and film Sasha appeared in the following. Starting in 2002 Sasha appeared as Buffy in the WB show, Family Affair. During 2004 Sasha had one appearance the show Stargate SG-1 as Grace. 2005 was a busier year for Sasha being in the following, The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3-D as Marissa/Ice Princess, Wanted (TV Series and Movie) as Millie Rose, Pieterse in 2007 appeared in House M.D as Andie, The Air I Breathe (Young Sorrow), Good Luck Chuck as a goth girl, Claire (TV Movie) as Maggie Bannion and as Beth Buckley in the series C.S.I Miami. From 2009 through 2012 Sasha appeared in the following Without A Trace as Daphne Stevens (2009), Heroes: Slow Burn as Amanda Strazzulla, Heroes as Amanda Strazzulla as well (2009-2010), Medium as 14 year old Marie (2011), Teenage girl in X-Men: First Class (Movie 2011), Geek Charming as Amy (2011) and currently as Alison DiLaurenties. For her appearance as a cancer patient in "House M.D." (2004), her long curly hair was hidden under a special latex fake scalp (although a lot of it came out the back so she had to be filmed cleverly to hide it).
Likes horse-riding.
Was submitted for Emmy consideration for her guest-starring role on "House M.D." (2004).
Loves interior and exterior design.
Has had the travel bug from a young age.
Loves photography and scrapbooking.
Has been making jewelry for 3 years.
