ROCKLAND, ME - On Sunday the Sea Princesses met at Knox Center for Long-Term Care for a busy day. The girls had one on one interviews with the judges, flower arranging, special crafts, lobster luncheon and etiquette classes.
Each girl made a flower arrangement that they will cover on coronation night on August 3rd. The girls did a great job on their flower arrangements.
Also, taken place was etiquette covering such subjects as, cell phone use, social media and table manners, just to name a few.
One on one interviews with the judges was a bit nerve wrecking as the girls didn't know what questions they would be asked. The interviews with the girls went almost all day with asking them questions and learning more about them.
At noontime we had lunch outside as a nice break for the ladies from interviews, etiquette and putting their flower arrangements together. For lunch we had lobster, corn on the cob, veggies, chicken for those that didn't like lobster, fruit and pie. Lunch was a great time to interact with the other girls.
Overall, the day went really well as it was a learning process for the girls from getting interviewed to etiquette. Being a sea princess is tough as there is a lot to learn. The whole process is more than looking pretty and waving to the crowd on coronation night. Education is a huge part of the whole process as the girls needed to learn about Rockland, lobster industry, etiquette, just to name a few. It was nice to see the girls interact with the residents as they are representing the area.
Finally, please enjoy a preview of what took place on Sunday for the girls as photographs are a best way to show it. You can view all the photographs at https://picasaweb.google.com/116922025581198149480/SeaPrincessesKnoxLongTermCareMeet?authkey=Gv1sRgCIPl4rrRvZOwZQ.
