Rockland 2011 Cruise Ship Season Begins
By: David Mills

ROCKLAND, ME - On Wednesday the cruise ship Independence docked in Rockland to kick off the 2011 season. Independence is a vessel of the American Cruise line that disembarked from the Boston area. Independence was the first to dock in Rockland this season.

It was nice to see the start of the Cruise ship season kick off in Rockland for 2011. Rockland offers a number of things for the guests to enjoy like restaurants, museums,  a beautiful Lighthouse at the end of a mile long breakwater, Windjammers sail in/out depending the their schedule and more.

Please enjoy a simple of photographs of the American Cruise Line ship Independence coming in and docking at the Rockland Public Landing.
