Travel Advisory: Rockland's Summer Solstice Celebration Closes Main Street Tonight

Rockland, Maine - There is a travel advisory in Rockland tonight from 3pm-8pm as Main Street between Park and Summer will be closed for Rockland Main Street's annual Summer Solstice.


According to Rockland Main Street:


FAMILY FRIENDLY STREET PARTY FROM 4-7
Live music, dancing, kids activities, crafts, and more!
ADULTS ONLY DOCK PARTY FROM 6-10 pm
Adults Only 21 and Over, I.D. Required. No Cover, Cash ONLY Bar, Games, Dancing, and Live Music by Red House with support from DJ Dan Miller!

5pm, at the Summer Solstice Celebration... the FANCY PANTS PARADE !!!! Dig through your 'drawers', do some thrift shopping, sew something up, get out your hot glue and scissors and join us for this preposterous procession of pantaloons, this silly slacks stroll, this traffic-stopping trouser traipse. All are welcome! Meet us on Main St, in from of the Farnsworth, just before 5pm and we'll walk toward the ferry terminal. No fees, no prizes, all free and all for fun!


Come on out to enjoy the celebration on Main Street in Rockland.
