Maine Lobster Festival Invites Artists to Enter Open Juried Art Show

Rockland, Maine 
- The Maine Lobster Festival is looking for entries for the Open Juried Art Show taking place on the Festival grounds during the 75th Maine Lobster Festival, August 3-7, 2022. Artists are invited to showcase their talent and passion. Any medium is allowed, and the only requirements are creativity and a passion for art.
There will be two special art awards given. The Eddie Harriman Award is given to the artwork that features the Maine Lobster Festival theme, "Lobsters". This award was created in memory of the artist who for years painted lobsters on windows in downtown Rockland to promote the Festival. The Betty Kinney Award is given to a painting inspired by a coastal scene. This award is given in memory of the woman who established and directed the Maine Lobster Festival Art Show for 25 years.
All entries must be dropped off at the Maine Lobster Festival Volunteer Office located at 1 Park Street in Rockland on Sunday, July 31 or Monday, August 1 from 10am to 3pm. Please enter through the main door which is shared with the Park Street Grille. The entry fee for students up to age 18 is $5. For all amateur and professional artists over the age of 18, the fee is $10. Limit two entries per artist.
