Rockland, Maine - Just in time for Halloween, the Rockland Public Library presents a 30th Anniversary screening of the of the 1987 comedy horror film “The Lost Boys” on Thursday, October 19 at 6:30 PM. When a string of mysterious deaths occur after they move to a coastal California town, teenagers Mike and Sam become convinced that their new home is overrun with vampires. The rated R film is directed by Joel Schumacher; written by Janice Fischer, James Jeremias and Jeffrey Boam; and stars Corey Feldman, Jami Gertz, Corey Haim, Edward Herrmann, Barnard Hughes, Jason Patric, Kiefer Sutherland, and Dianne Wiest.
This year's Thursday Film Series is hosted by the Friends of the Rockland Library. In addition to watching great films, viewers will be able to enter a drawing for books related to the movie's topic or theme donated by the Friend's Book Stop.
