Marimba Ensemble Performs On Maine Lobster Festival Main Stage

Rockland, Maine - Marimba Ensemble did a fantastic job as they perform at the 69th Annual Maine Lobster Festival on the main stage, Thursday, August 4th, 2016 in beautiful Rockland, Maine.

Maine Marimba is a unique percussion band based in Portland, Maine. We play marimbas, huge wooden xylophone-like instruments. These are hand-made by Jacob, and are created from a variety of woods. The music we play is based on traditional Zimbabwean music from the Shona culture. It incorporates great rhythms, and inspires foot-tapping, hip-swaying and dancing. Band members are Jacob Wolff, Kevin Caron, Rob Cimitile, Chris Fletcher, Elliot Heeschen, Peter Himmer, Zebulon Kelley, Matt Wasowski and Tchukki Andersen.
