Maine Farmers’ Market Snapshot Week at the York Farmers' Market

YORK, ME: The York Farmers’ Market is preparing to celebrate Maine Farmers’ Market Snapshot Week on Thursday, August 11 & Saturday, August 13. This new program, developed by the Maine Federation of Farmers’ Markets (MFFM), is a statewide effort to celebrate peak season during National Farmers’ Market Week and to capture a “snapshot” of a week in the life of Maine’s farmers’ markets. Join us at 1 Stonewall Lane, York, ME from 9-1pm on Thursday & Saturday to celebrate what our market means to you and your community!
Snapshot Week in York will include kids' programs and special giveaways. We hope you will come out to shop and help us tell the story of the market – your market – through photos, shared memories, special events, and surveys.
The York Farmers' Market was founded in 2003 and now features 36 vendors on Saturdays and 17 vendors on Thursdays. Products available include fresh vegetables, fruit, eggs, meats, goat's milk cheese & yogurt, sheep's cheese, seafood, herbs, granola, desserts, breads, oils & spices, sandwiches, prepared foods and more. Select craft products include lotions, soaps, wood goods, jewelry, candles and pottery.
Our market is excited to be one of over 50 markets throughout the state participating in the first annual Snapshot Week. Market farming in Maine dates back centuries, and the York Farmers' Market is proud to be part of this long tradition. If you haven’t experienced Maine’s farmers’ markets recently, now is the time!
