The Natural Resources Council of Maine will raffle off a dream vacation to Maine’s spectacular Katahdin region: three nights lodging, meals and guiding for two people to explore lands that just may become Maine’s next National Park! All proceeds will support NRCM’s work to establish a new National Park in Maine east of Baxter State Park. Participants choose the season for their visit, and only 300 tickets will be sold at $30 each. Enter by Monday, May 9, 2016 for the May 15 drawing. The grand prize, includes a guided visit to Katahdin Woods and Waterways Recreation Area, two nights at beautiful Mt. Chase Lodge (www.mtchaselodge.com), and one night in a primitive cabin within the Katahdin Woods and Waters Recreation Area. Meals, guides, lodging are all included, just bring bikes, skis, and sleeping gear.
Three runners up will receive prizes too, such as gift baskets from Katahdin area merchants, a limited edition wildlife print by D.D. Tyler, and entry into a drawing for a guided photography moose hunt at Katahdin Woods and Waters Recreation Area in the fall.
