Thursday, February 25

Reception for photographer Cindy Beams, 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Camden Public Library, to accompany her exhibit of “Photos of East Africa.”

Knitting Circle 6:00-8:00 pm at the Camden Public Library, all abilities welcome, bring a project to learn on or come to learn. 2nd and 4th Thursdays.


Saturday, February 27

Simply Books group at the Camden Public Library, 2:00 pm, simply bring along whatever book you’re currently reading and share it with the group!


Sunday, February 28

Maine Bead Society, 1:15 pm at the Camden Public Library, for beaders across Maine. All are welcome, email spdavenp@gmail.com for more information.


Tuesday, March 1

Camden Garden Club horticulture presentation on “Botanical Illustration” with Linda Heppes Funk, renowned illustrator, 10:00 am at the Camden Public Library. This talk was rescheduled from early February.

Eliza Squibb presents a talk on “story cloths” created to encourage vaccination and health education in Mali, 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. The GAIA Vaccine Foundation of Providence creates the designs and vaccination programs.


Wednesday, March 2

Midcoast Stroke Support Group meeting, 10:00 am at the Camden Public Library, all are welcome. Call 273-2090 for more information.


Thursday, March 3

The Camden Library Coffeehouse features the Oshima Brothers, Jamie and Sean, 7:00 pm. The Oshimas bring their youthful high energy, songwriting, and harmonies to Camden for a one-of-a-kind evening. They have been creating music together their whole lives, and it shows when you hear them sing. $7.


Saturday, March 5

Book Sale at the Camden Public Library 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The library book sale is run by volunteers, to benefit the book fund and children’s reading programs.

Tuesday, March 8

Leer y charlar is Read and chat, a Spanish language reading and conversation group at the Camden Public Library, 1:00 pm, all who are proficient in Spanish are welcome.

Tuesday Book Club, 1:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. The book club meets monthly on the second Tuesday; all are welcome, please call Nina at 470-7473 for more information. The book for this session is “The Wright Brothers” by David McCullough.

Regular meeting of the Reading Group of the Camden Philosophical Society, 4:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. All who enjoy a good discussion are welcome

“Mayans and Mennonites, a Visit to Belize,” slide talk presented by Greg Dorr of Camden. Dorr has just returned from visiting Belize and Fillipe Carrillo in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, the heart of the failed Mayan revolt.
