Mosses Have Got Your Garden Covered at Merryspring‏

Camden/Rockport, Maine - Horticulturist William Cullina will lead a presentation on moss gardening at Merryspring Nature Center on Tuesday, March 31 at 12:00 pm.

Mosses are unlike any other plants, and the Maine climate makes them perfect for the home garden. Cullina will speak about cultivating, caring for, and propagating mosses and their versatile uses in the garden. William will cover some of the common mosses of Midcoast Maine and how to identify them.

William Cullina currently serves as Executive Director of the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay.  William has a degree in Horticulture and Landscape Architecture from the University of Connecticut and has been working in the field for 28 years. He has authored six books, including Ferns, Mosses, and Grasses published by Houghton Mifflin in 2007.

The Winter Talk series is co-sponsored by Allen Insurance & Financial, and Farley & Son Landscaping. Tuesday Talks are open to the public for $5, with free admittance for Merryspring members.
